Intro to Needleplay

April 16, 2019 @ 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm

Ever been curious about needles? Have you watched in rapt horror or total fascination and wondered, “Why do people do this as a kink? What does the Top get from it and what is the experience the bottom wants and has as well?” Join us as we talk about the basics of diving into the bloody beginner end of the kink medical play pool. This class will cover kink needle basics: types of needles, safety and health issues, how to safely set up a scene space at play parties, where to stab, materials used, how to take care of your bottom, resources and more. There will be handouts on where to buy supplies and
other really neat information.
We will also cover safety and motivations for Tops: issues that may arise, how to handle them, and a discussion of how to negotiate and best consent practices for planning a needle scene.
Bottoming to needles will be covered as well. There is more than just lying down and taking it! SirusCyn and Simone B. are both knowledgeable needle bottoms and will share their input and advocacy for being a bottom as well.
There will be fun demos and some inspirational images of the different styles of needle play, from decorative to the downright bloody extreme, to give the audience a sense of the variety of things done with needle play.
Disclaimer: There will be blood during class. Please be aware if you are sensitive to this kind of subject matter, this might not be the class for you. We welcome you to ask for a handout or info outside of class if you are interested.

Simone B. (she/her) has a been a lifestyle switch in the NYC kink scene for 5+ years. She is also a professional Dominant and enjoys the crazier bloodier side of the kink scene. She currently co-runs a Women’s Domination party The Goddess Loft and hosts the ongoing medical play party Welcome to the Infirmary.

Sirus (she/her), a queer, fat-positive bottom, has been in the NYC kink scene for a little over two years. She has always liked having her blood drawn at the doctor’s, so it’s no surprise that she loves needle play. When not being made to bleed, she can be found receiving sadistic leg/foot rope, getting punched, or snuggling her dogs.

Doors open at 7, class begins at 7:30. If you will require the elevator, please call ahead: (212) 675-1390.
