VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT ON MS TEE
by Lolita Wolf

Lolita Wolf: How did you hear of TES?
Ms Tee: Initially through online research, I just never went because I wasn't sure where it was. My munch friends kept talking about it & finally one took me to a meeting. (He also ended up being my boy.)

LW: Was TES your first real time BDSM experience?
MT: No, I had a few experiences with people I met online. One guy was a real jerk, a wannabe, and we role-played at his hotel. He topped from the bottom but definitely awakened something in me.

LW: What was your first TES event/meeting?
MT: The aforementioned boy took me to the May 2000 potluck, 2 weeks later I joined TES and signed up for TES 2000. My first meeting/presentation was Advanced Caning with Sharrin Spector.

LW: What was your first volunteer job at TES?
MT: I helped with registration at TES 2000. I helped do special event tickets.

LW: Why did you decide to volunteer at TES?
MT: I like to be of help, it keeps me busy, I learn new things and meet new people. It also helps my self-esteem because it makes me feel needed.

LW: What volunteer job(s) do you do at TES?
MT: I am Corresponding Secretary and I'm on the Membership Committee. I'm responsible for picking up TES' postal mail & I deliver it to whom it needs to go. I do mail related tasks such as sending letters, forms, & answering requests. This ties into my job on the membership committee because I process mailed in applications & send out members materials.

LW: What do you like best about TES?
MT: It's a nice place to learn new things & make friends. I like the people & the sense of belonging. The people at TES have, in many ways, become my second family.

MEETING REPORTS

Stuff Yer Hole, with Lolita Wolf
by Paul NyghtOwl

Lolita Wolf filled in an eager audience with her "Stuff yer Hole" workshop. Armed with a battery of rubber, latex, and silicone phalluses, and aided, abetted and assisted by Boymeat, gardenia and Neptune Glory, Lolita discussed the pros, cons, safety issues and techniques involved in the use of gags, butt plugs, strap-ons and other things that you can shove into your bottom's available orifices. Neptune took a bright red rubber ball gag in that made him drool even as it made us squirm. gardenia showed off her cocksucking skills, slurping eagerly at Lolita's ever-stiff member. And Neptune showed off a new Olympic event--upon taking his pants down he fired a butt plug three feet out of his ass. A hot display of anal play followed, in which Lolita and Neptune switched. It was an informative, light-hearted workshop, which demonstrated the most important thing about penetrating your partner--to show that you do it in a spirit of love and care. There was plenty of that in the room tonight.

THE TES FAQ
by Paul NyghtOwl

Are there any meetings that aren't open to everyone?
Yes. Board meetings (organization business) and the three yearly TES membership meetings are members-only. You can sign up to speak at board meetings. Voting rights at membership meetings come six weeks after membership. Tuesday night meetings are open to everyone. As for Wednesday SIG meetings, TES-TING (TES--The Next Generation) is only open to those age 18-35 and their significant others. And the Men's Group and Women's Group are gender-specific. Also, the Dominant Men/submissive women's group and Dominant Women/submissive men group encourage attendees to come in the proper mindset for their meetings to create a safe space for all attending.
