19TH ANNUAL LEATHER PRIDE NIGHT AUCTION
The 19th annual
Leather Pride Night Auction will take place on Saturday, June 22nd,
2002. Doors open at 8PM. Auction and festivities continue until
Midnight at The Puck Building (a new location!) 295 Lafayette Street
and Houston, one block east of Broadway. This space is wheelchair
accessible. Tickets will be available at the front door of TES and

Problem Solving in D/s and M/s Relationships with Jack McGeorge

On Tuesday
night, June 4th, Jack McGeorge, founding member of Black Rose presented
another well thought out, meticulous examination of one of the factors
of our lives. opinionated and unapologetic, logical, reasoned and
deliberate, Jack led the appreciative TES audience through step
by step systems of analyzing, isolating, communication and resolving
many of the common problems that plague our BDSM structures. Starting
with deciphering what the fundamentals of a given relationship are,
to point by point steps to discover the roots of problems rather
than be confused by the symptoms, to delineating systems to find
resolution; Jack presented an entertaining, often funny, and very
applicable overview of the things which make us Tops, bottoms, Dominants,
submissives, Masters, Mistresses and slaves- and the things which
make us human.

"The Ebb and Flow of the Submissive Heart" with Lady Elania

Beginning with
her collection of stories as a guide through her past, Lady Elania
guided her audience through the key events and profound changes
of her life. Starting as a submissive woman, Lady Elania found her
way to a life as a Dominant woman. Keeping very interactive with
her audience through question and answer,she explained of the further
changes in her journey, as she has found that the submissive side
to her nature was not dead, but only sleeping - and it's reawakening
has raised many questions in her life, and perhaps in many others.
"Can a leopard change it's spots? Is one always submissive,
even if one strays? How much can our basic nature change? Is it
evolution to transition from one end of the leash to the other -
and is it still growth to travel back? What is the extent of behavioral
evolution in or lives and our natures?" By exploring these
immensely personal questions with her audience, Lady Elania encouraged
introspection from everyone present, creating a valuable experience
for the TES membership.
Mistress
Blair puts her foot down at TES

People with
a fetish for feet, leather, and just in general had an amazing time
last Wednesday as the Tes-ting group were honored by the prescence
of Mistress Blair for a demonstration of boot polishing, I.E. boot
blacking. Each attendee received an extremely detailed worksheet
on leather care, which pointed out important tips on which products
to use and how to properly treat leather products. Mistress Blair's
very able assistant Jim did an expert job of lathering saddle soap,
applying polish, brushing, buffing, and finally licking the boots
in question. All of these actions provide different sensations,
much to the delight of Mistress Blair's well-defined calves. An
amazing highlight occured when Jim lit the polish on fire, which
quickly turned the polish to a fine liquid, easily spread on the
boots by Jim's nimble fingers. While some may use boot blacking
prior to a d/s scene, others take pleasure in it following one,
whereas for others the act of boot blacking IS the scene, as the
participants enjoy the feelings and sensations involved. We thank
our honored guests for their expert presentation.
