Since 1995, TES has a standing deal with Jack McGeorge that he
will make a presentation between Christmas and New Year's. Usually,
Jack presents on technique, but lately his personal interests have
shifted to the area of hierarchical relationships. Jack draws a
lot from his personal experiences. He has been playing since he
was 8 years old which is when he got his first pair of handcuffs.
His relationship roles have ranged from submissive, switch, dominant,
to slave owner. Even with all that experience, Jack is still exploring
and learning.
Jack is a very animated and entertaining speaker and he gets a
lot of information across. His talk included personal anecdotes
as well as the results from 210 questionnaires which were distributed
to people attending his lectures. He is now on a second phase of
collecting data. Help him by filling out the survey at www.dss.sexresearch.org
VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT ON JESSICA
by Lolita
LW: How did you hear of TES?
J: Through a cross link from a BDSM site on the net which I have
now forgotten.
LW: Was TES your first real time BDSM experience?
J: No, I had attempted being sub almost 30 years ago, then remained
inactive for about 14 years, than realized my strong personalty
did best as the dominant.
LW: What was your first TES event/meeting?
J: CBT by Mistress Nona, sponsored by the DW/SM SIG.
LW: How did you like the meeting?
J: Enjoyed the thoroughness of the presentation, the humor that
was threaded throughout, the very warm reception extended by members
of the SIG particularly HMQ Morgan and Lady Sabrina.
LW: What was your impression?
J: That TES was a very supportive and diverse group which allows
all BDSM interests a forum.
LW: What was your first volunteer job at TES?
J: Door crew.
LW: Why did you decide to volunteer at TES?
J: A. Meet people, B. Not stand on the sidewalk waiting for the
door to open, C. Help a group of interest to me.
LW: What volunteer job(s) do you do at TES?
J: Door crew, DM at TES30, table at Leatherfest, support at LPN.
LW: What do you do on the door crew?
J: Meet and greet, set up so both TES literature and supporting
literature is available to the attendees, help answer questions
or help in directing the person to someone at TES who can help.
LW: What is that like?
J: I enjoy the interactions with the other door crew members, members
of TES, and those who have an interest and attend. This is very
much a social group for me with the added benefits of providing
education and exposure to new areas of BDSM.
LW: What do you like best about TES?
J: The people, the workshops.
LW: Thank you for the interview, Jessica, and thank you for volunteering
at TES!
