SUMMARY:How to Say No
DESCRIPTION:Have you said yes to something that you wanted to say no to but felt stuck in the moment? Struggled with not taking on this extra task because saying no to your friend seemed rude\, or you just weren’t prepared and agreed without really wanting to? WELL\, this is your chance to practice saying NO to any number of different requests\, whether that’s a hug you don’t want or a “volunteer” job organizing a canned food drive you wanted to support but don’t want to be in charge of. This is an interactive practice with some discussion around why a no is easy or hard in the moment. Like lots of things in life\, saying no DOES get easier with practice\, and that’s the point of this! \nGinger is a white cis woman who left monogamy behind as a personal choice over a decade ago and never looked back. She’s not an expert and won’t tell you what to do\, but will happily help you practice saying “No” in eighteen different ways to her so they next time your crappy roommate asks you if they can eat your special donuts your “nope\, sorry\, those are just for me!” pops out without thought.
