DESCRIPTION:People’s relationships with labels are based in power and empowerment. This is even more critical to understand in relationships built around power imbalances. While there is a lot of baggage attached to them\, labels can be useful tools in communicating and creating our selves and our life stories. This class will review different motivations and uses for labels (including when NOT to use them)\, reasons why labels become contentious\, and practices for using labels to tell your own story more effectively. \nLiz/LuckyAlbatross (she/her) has been active in the public scene since 1998.
