This class is good beginner level introduction for people who may feel uncomfortable or less informed around the topic. \nKey points within the presentation are: \n\n“Why does this matter?”\nA guide to some commonly used language surrounding gender identity and transition – Definitions are provided for things such as Cisgender\, AGAB\, Femme/Masc\, etc.\nExplaining the different types of gender identity and presentation – Binary Gender vs. Gender on a Spectrum\nDefining sexuality and how gender presentation/identity can affect a scene\nA more trans-inclusive guide for negotiating play – A do’s and don’t list with a quick reference guide/checklist for future personal use\n\n“Awkward Question Time”: An additional time period for individuals to be able to ask appropriate questions in person/write-in ahead of time that they may feel could be deemed as awkward/offensive. \nChuck [He/They] is a switchy transmasc nonbinary person who has been active in the community since 2016. They have a passion for LGBTQ+ education and informing others on intersectional issues that affect us all.
