DESCRIPTION:BEDROC is my acronym for how I am living my life again\, after a long hiatus. It is a mix of a friend’s philosophy plus my own philosophy I knew of for 13 years and actively lived for 5. The last 8 years? It became less and less until I lost myself\, lost the respect of those I love(d)\, and nearly lost my sanity. \nNo more. \nIt’s time to come home. It’s time for my foundation to be BEDROC once more. \nI share this in the hope that it helps others. \nBe well\, and happy holidays\, if I don’t say it again. \nBEDROC: \nBoundaries – creating and maintaining mine; honoring others’. \nExpectations – managing mine\, having as few as possible as to not build resentment. \nDetachment – as necessary\, with love\, not a machete. \nRespect – act in a respectful way – take no disrespect from others. Be mutually respectful in my relationships with others. \nOpen Communication – give it and accept no less; transparency in all things. \nCommitment – to myself then to those who I’ve committed to. Must also be bilateral. One person cannot make a relationship work\, no matter what kind of relationship it is. \nLady Steele identifies as a femme queer Alpha leather slave. She has served in the Leather community since 1999. She has presented and volunteered across the U. S. and internationally. She resides in Atlanta where she operates her law practice that serves people in the various BDSM worlds and the ethical non-monogamy (ENM) community. She is the only out\, open\, and practicing attorney in the U.S. that specializes in the issues that are unique to the BDSM and ENM communities. \nShe is the founder of the Center of Learning and School of Success (C.L.A.S.S.)\, the Worthless Bastards (Cigar) Club (W.B.C. – Atlanta)\, and The Leather Coterie (T.L.C.). She proudly leads all of these organizations under the umbrella of the West Inclusive Georgia Socials (W.I.N.G.S.) group.
