SUMMARY:In-Person - Become a DM for TES Fest 2025
DESCRIPTION:Youngscientist\, our TES Fest 2025 Chair of Safety\, will be training all volunteers who signed up to be Dungeon Monitors for TES Fest 2025. If you’re interested in learning for future TES events but didn’t sign up\, please register anyway—education is knowledge capital for our community. \nAs a Dungeon Monitor\, you’ll learn how to: \n\nDevelop skills to facilitate a safe dungeon environment\nWork effectively with a team\nCommunicate respectfully and clearly\nIdentify possible safety risks\nUnderstand the dos and don’ts of the role\nDevise solutions and alternative approaches\nTo review best practices on skill-based play\, and boundaries of consent in a dungeon environment\n\nBio: @Youngscientist has been active in many facets of the scene for over 15 years. He’s volunteered and worked on staff for at least a dozen organizations throughout that time\, including being one of the few Pro-DM’s in the NYC area. Knowledge has been one of his main driving forces\, which led him to start teaching early on. He’s probably most well-known for teaching Wrestling/Grappling classes and hosting Jello and Lube Wrestling events. \nThis class will be held at:\nThe Center (The Lesbian\, Gay\, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center)\n208 West 13th Street\nNew York\, NY \n\nTo register in advance (strongly preferred): \nIf you already have a TES account\, CLICK HERE TO REGISTER \n\nCreate a Member Portal account\nMembers: use the same email address used when you purchased your membership.
