SUMMARY:IN-PERSON - TES Monthly Munch
DESCRIPTION:Whether you’re new to the scene\, an old friend\, or just passing through\, we’re excited to see you!  Normally\, we meet every month on the first Monday of the month\, except when it falls on a national holiday. Because the first Monday of September is Labor Day\, we will be meeting on the 2nd Monday of the Month\, on the 8th. Join us! \nOur hosts will be there to welcome you and answer any questions. Attending this event is free beyond paying for the food you order (and please tip your server well!) \nThe TES Munch is our monthly gathering on the first Monday of each month. It’s a great opportunity to meet and hang out with your fellow kinksters in a low-key\, low-pressure environment. It is open to all members of the community in good standing\, and those who are new to the scene are especially encouraged to attend. There is no requirement to RSVP ahead of time\, and you do not need to be a TES member to attend. \nPlease note that we highly encourage all attendees to be vaccinated and up-to-date against COVID-19. However\, this event is hosted at a diner that is open to other patrons\, and we cannot control anything beyond what the restaurant requires. Please assess your own risk profiles and act accordingly. We will be providing a discrete option for contact tracing\, which is highly encouraged.

SUMMARY:IN-PERSON: Rope and Neurodivergence
DESCRIPTION:This class will explore the fascinating intersection of rope and neurodivergence. We’ll delve into how elements like deep pressure\, clear communication\, sensory stimulation\, and grounding\, which are central to both BDSM and neurodivergence\, beautifully overlap within the community. Drawing from both lived autistic/neurodivergent experience and extensive rope practice\, the class will discuss and demonstrate: \n\nHow topping and bottoming rope resonate in this context\nImportant accommodations and considerations\nNeurodivergent-inclusive negotiation\, tying\, and active bottoming\n\nThere will also be time for hands-on exploration for those who are interested\, so bring your rope. \nBios: \nKnotty Chris (he/him): Chris is a bottom/sub-leaning switch deeply involved in the NYC rope and kink scene since January 2024. He views rope & bondage as a connective somatic language and BDSM as a form of self-expression\, shared energy\, and joyful co-creation. As a passionate community builder and neurodivergent kinkster\, Chris organizes two local munches (the movie-focused CineMunch and the neurodivergent-centered The Yap)\, and facilitates the Bushwick Rope Share and the movie night/rope jam CineNawa. \nEmji (they/them): With a decade of experience in feeling\, interacting\, and connecting with rope\, Emji\, “the ‘little’ rigger\,” deeply values the connection between bottom and rigger. Their first and greatest love is rope\, and they are a strong advocate for active bottoming and thorough negotiation. When not engaged in rope experiences and education\, Emji enjoys “little” adventures with their “little” friends around the city. \nLocation and Cost\nLocation: \nThe Center (The Lesbian\, Gay\, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center)  \n208 West 13th Street\,  \nNew York\, NY 10011 \nCost: \n\nMembers: $10\nNon-Members: $25\n\nRegistration in advance is strongly encouraged due to limited internet access at the venue. \nNote: Each attendee will need to have a separate account to register. \nOnline Registration:\nIf You Already Have an Account\n\nRegister: Click here to go to the registration page.\nLog in: Use your existing account information to log in and register for the class.
