DESCRIPTION:Ever been curious about needles? Have you watched in rapt horror or total fascination and wondered\, “Why do people do this as a kink? What does the Top get from it and what is the experience the bottom wants and has as well?” Join us as we talk about the basics of diving into the bloody beginner end of the kink medical play pool. This class will cover kink needle basics: types of needles\, safety and health issues\, how to safely set up a scene space at play parties\, where to stab\, materials used\, how to take care of your bottom\, resources and more. There will be handouts on where to buy supplies and\nother really neat information.\nWe will also cover safety and motivations for Tops: issues that may arise\, how to handle them\, and a discussion of how to negotiate and best consent practices for planning a needle scene.\nBottoming to needles will be covered as well. There is more than just lying down and taking it! SirusCyn and Simone B. are both knowledgeable needle bottoms and will share their input and advocacy for being a bottom as well.\nThere will be fun demos and some inspirational images of the different styles of needle play\, from decorative to the downright bloody extreme\, to give the audience a sense of the variety of things done with needle play.\nDisclaimer: There will be blood during class. DESCRIPTION:Our community celebrates diversity in its many forms\, including sexuality\, gender\, kink\, religion\, and race. We are at the forefront of standing up for disabilities as well and provide accommodation for people with physical challenges of various forms\, as well as reduced scent environments. We provide helpful information for those of us who suffer from depression and other forms of mental illness\, providing a safe place to talk about our challenges. But one area of challenge in our community is around the topic of neurodiversity. \nNeurodiversity is the idea that neurological differences are recognized\, understood and accepted. These include many forms of invisible disabilities\, including Dyspraxia\, Dyslexia\, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder\, Dyscalculia\, Autistic Spectrum\, Tourette Syndrome\, as well as others. \nIndividuals with neurological differences in the kink community speak of feeling marginalized and excluded\, while kink organizers struggle with issues of wanting to provide an atmosphere that feels safe and welcoming to all. \nCome join us for an open discussion on March 26th run by The Eulenspiegel Society on this important topic. \nThe discussion will be facilitated by Vir Cotto\, a kinkster and occasional presenter. Vir identifies as neuro-divergent\, heaving learning disabilities\, ADHD. Struggling with the challenges associated with being “twice exceptional” Vir has an understanding of these challenges of being “different” and can provide insight on both the difficulties that neuro-non-typical people feel\, as well as the challenges associated with creating a welcoming\, accommodating spaces. \nAll are welcome to the discussion on March 26th.
