SUMMARY:TES Hypno Group: Setting Your Subjects Up for Success\, with Sex-Obsessed-Lesbian
DESCRIPTION:“I don’t think I was really in trance.” “But I was still able to move my arm.” “I’m a really difficult subject.” “I guess I just can’t be hypnotized.” Most of us have heard these sentiments\, from our subjects or friends or even our own brains. This kind of thinking can lead to\, at best\, self-doubt\, and at worst\, someone deciding that hypno just isn’t for them. How can we as ‘tists make sure that our subjects have a successful and empowering trance experience\, and come away from it knowing that hypnosis is a thing that they can do?\n\n In this class\, we’ll explore this very question\, and discuss the things that ‘tists can do to help their subjects succeed. Some of the topics we’ll cover: pre-talk and negotiation; safety; choosing the right inductions and triggers; and how to respond when your subject says\, “That didn’t work!”\n\nSubject-inclined folks are more than welcome as well: we would love to hear your thoughts on these questions! And if you feel like a quote-unquote difficult subject\, we hope we can give you a new perspective!\n\n\n\nDoors open at 7\, class begins at 7:30 \n\n\n\n\nTES Members $5 Students & Military with ID $10 Reciprocal Groups $10 Non-Members $20 Cash Only\n\n\n\n\nPlease call ahead if you will need elevator access: (212) 675-1390

SUMMARY:TES Presents: BDSM and the Onset of a Chronic Physical Illness
DESCRIPTION:What do you do when you’re a masochist\, but don’t consent to the physical pain brought on by your own body? How can you feel comfortable in your submissive role when you feel like you can’t serve to the best of your ability? Or dominate when you’re in too much pain to move? Developing a chronic physical illness can be challenging for anybody\, but it may be especially challenging in our context. This class will focus on what it is like to have a chronic physical illness while in the kink community. We will discuss how limits/negotiation might change\, how to fulfill your kinky needs\, and learning how to accept this new part of you and integrate it into new or existing dynamics. \nKinseyStarr is a 27 year old breast cancer survivor who has been an active member of the New York scene for over three years. She is the co-founder of the Society of Switches (SOS) and the Switch Munch. SUMMARY:TES Novice & Newcomers Group: Massage 101
DESCRIPTION:If you’ve been to any public dungeon or play party\, you’ve heard it a thousand times. “Please Mistress\, may I touch your feet!” And yet everywhere there are tops and Dom(mes\,) yearning for great massage service\, prefering to go untouched then suffer another abysmal service massage. Furthermore\, a communal lack of skill in the art of bodywork doesn’t just affect the service-oriented quotient of kinksters. How often have you heard “I’m not warmed up enough for that tie” or “I’m having a hard time coming down” or “I’m really droppy after that convention…” These situations might seem like par for the course–a hazard of doing what we do. Or\, to the initiated\, the perfect time to use a bit of cocoa butter\, and get in there with both hands. No matter your role\, gender or other fetishes\, this class is designed for you to help you get better at using your hands to touch people. \nLouis (DanceInMyPants) is a sex educator by trade\, a consent nerd by calling\, and the kinky boy next door. Louis is a polyamorus trans dude\, a massage enthusiast\, a sadomasochist and a proud switch. He’s been rubbing feet and taking names since 2011. Out of kink\, he’s a born and bred Brooklynite\, a witch\, a lover of spreadsheets\, a writer of smut\, and plays a ton of Dungeons and Dragons. \nNovice & Newcomers classes are open to all\, but accessible to those who are new to the scene\, the subject\, or the area. Experienced members of the community are welcome and encouraged to attend. \nDoors open at 7\, class begins at 7:30. If you will require the elevator\, please call ahead: (212) 675-1390.

SUMMARY:TES Hypnokink Group: The Ins and Outs of Hypnotic Fractionation
DESCRIPTION:Fractionation is a well known hypnotic technique\, both in the therapeutic and erotic hypnosis communities. People use it for improving the ability for the subject to enter into deep trance more quickly. It is also a way to create specific experiences related to control\, the power to bring someone into a state and out of it generating feelings of power exchange. This class will delve into how fractionation works\, and explore different techniques to facilitate many different aspects of the phenomenon. By breaking down the concepts of induction\, awakening\, awakeness\, and the experience of trance states both as subjective and contextual\, we can redefine both the methods and processes of hypnosis. Fractionation as a transition between two contrasting states provides us with a more general approach towards exploring mental states\, hypnotic phenomenon\, emotion\, intimacy and sex. In addition we will discuss the ways we can visualize the narrative of a hypnotic scene and how the trance state can be charted through the various elements of play. Visual aids will be used to help explain some core concepts and novel approaches to creating unique and dynamic scenes based on Fractionation. This class is intended for all levels of experience. \n\nDoors open at 7\, class begins at 7:30 \n\n\n\n\nTES Members $5 Students & Military with ID $10 Reciprocal Groups $10 Non-Members $20 Cash Only\n\n\n\n\nPlease call ahead if you will need elevator access: (212) 675-1390
