His Sensei Osada Steve called it ranboo and since then\, this way of doing ropes became one of the well-known styles in the world of kinbaku (Source) \nThis class provides an introduction to the key principles of Ranboo and several hands-on exercises to explore tying in this style. Please note that this may be a physically intense class for both the top and bottom. \nRequirements: \n3+ lengths of 25-30ft rope\nSingle column tie \nKeepOnKeepinOn is a NYC based rope educator and kinkster. He has presented at national events across the US\, such as TES Fest and Shibaricon\, and at a variety of local events throughout North America. He has been interested in rope since 2013 when he first discovered kink. While interested in many disciplines of rope bondage\, his style has been primarily influenced by his friend\, mentor\, and teacher: barkas. DESCRIPTION:Constructed with the permission of barkas\, this class is my own personal interpretation of the Rope Interview.\nThis class will explore rope as a means of power exchange. This does not necessarily mean power dynamic\, power exchange can be as simple as the tying partner setting a tone of “I will tie you” and the tied partner agreeing to that tone\, “I will let you tie me”. We will examine how to create\, develop and maintain this exchange with rope through the metaphor of asking questions and an analysis of our own non-verbal signals. Students will learn how to pick up on their partner’s signals and discover how their own behaviors may be interpreted by their partner. We will utilize a variety of ippon-nawa (one rope) exercises and if time allows apply the concepts to a patterned tie. DESCRIPTION:It’s a TES tradition\, and this year we will be holding our Dirty Santa (aka White Elephant) Gift Exchange at The Jolly Bloody Good Holiday Play Party at Parthenon on December 23rd. The fun starts at 10pm (so don’t worry\, if your attending Novice & Newcomers Munch\, we wont start without you)! \nHow to Play\nTo participate\, all you need to do is bring a wrapped gift of no more than $25 in value. It can be anything: something kinky\, something festive\, something downright ridiculous (gag gifts are absolutely encouraged). \nWe will assemble all the wrapped gifts in a pile\, then at 10pm we will draw names. \nThe first person called may pick any gift from the pile\, unwrap it\, and show everyone so we can ooh and ahh. That’s round #1. \nThe real fun begins with round #2. The second person called has the choice to unwrap a gift from the pile\, or\, they can choose to steal whatever was unwrapped by the first person and make them pick different gift from the pile to unwrap. \nIn round #3\, the third person may steal either of the gifts already unwrapped or pick from the pile. If they steal a gift\, the person they stole from can steal from the remaining person\, or pick from the pile\, and so on. \nWe’ll continue like this each round. If you have your gift stolen\, you can steal any gift not already stolen that same round. A round ends when a new gift is unwrapped from the pile. \nBut what do you do if you unwrap that perfect present and want to keep it? Not to worry\, for just $1/round you can purchase immunity for that round to keep any sneaky gift thieves from stealing (or stealing back) your gift! All the proceeds raised go to our FounderCare Committee! \nAbout FounderCare\nAs TES nears its 50th year providing education and social opportunities to the kink community\, and especially during this holiday season\, our thoughts naturally turn to how it all began\, and who began it. DESCRIPTION:Ah\, the holidays… that time of year when we gather round the parlour to play games involving bowls of flaming fruits\, when naughty children face beatings and kidnappings from Germanic folk demons\, and when we all hope we’re the lucky one to find the glass pickle. Sound strange? Well that’s how things were done back in the Victorian Age\, and on December 23rd\, TES is taking you back to that classic era for our Jolly Bloody Good Holiday Play Party!!! \nCostumes are encouraged\, but not required\, and there will be door prizes for those with the best themed costumes and scenes\, so whether your preference is classical Victorian corsets or steam-punk attire\, come out with your best dress! Remember\, this is the era that gave us rattan canes\, crops\, the violet ray (better known now as the violet wand)\, medicine show mesmerization (hypnokink anyone?)\, and all sorts of kinky vintage medical equipment\, including the original vibrators (though please respect the party rules regarding penetration). \nNot sure what else to bring to the party? Forget something at home? Looking for that last minute kinky gift? Not to worry\, we are thrilled to have Machine Mike Toys and Kacima\, who have come together this holiday season as our exclusive party vendor\, and will have all you need to stuff your stocking! \nAnd speaking of kinky gifts\, come early and join us for our annual Dirty Santa gift exchange. To play\, just bring a wrapped gift of up to $25 in value (or alternatively\, visit Mike and Kacima). We’ll take turns picking\, opening\, and stealing each other’s gifts until the smoke clears (but don’t worry\, for a small donation to our FounderCare Committee\, you can secure immunity for the round! DESCRIPTION:Are you new to the scene? New to the NYC area? Looking to get back into the scene after a long layoff? Just want to hang out with some fun and kinky people on a Saturday night\, in a safe\, no pressure atmosphere with knowledgeable people to guide you if needed? Come alone or with partner(s). DESCRIPTION:In this novice level class\, we’ll examine the tricks and techniques that are unique to Japanese-style Shibari and move from basic western techniques to the flowing aesthetics of Shibari.
