Join us as Desmond Ravenstone – director of NCSF’s Sex Work Project – outlines the history behind this movement\, facts and fallacies surrounding commercial sex\, and what individuals and groups can do to help. \nDesmond Ravenstone has been an activist and educator in various issues\, including sexual freedom\, for more than thirty years. A graduate of Oberlin College\, his degree in sociology and anthropology included research into the birth of the sex workers’ rights movement. Along with his work for the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom (NCSF)\, he is administrator of Clients of Sex Workers Allied for Change (CoSWAC)\, and a founding member of the Massachusetts Sex Worker Allies Network (MASWAN).

It is necessary that you know how to tie a box tie and have some light suspension experience as we are going into the more advanced stuff. \nSo\, up we go: We do suspensions. Belly down\, face up\, sideways\, just on the angles depending what we like the best. Learning how to tie suspensions safely\, suspension gear\, line management and how to tie suspensions quickly.  \nNow we are in the air. Now what? We go into a different suspension\, without touch down and back and then we do a different transition. \nBut wait\, what happens if something happens? \nThere are suspensions and there are emergencies. If you answered yes to any of these questions . . . \n \nTES’ DM Committee Wants YOU!!!\n  \nPlease join us for our next Dungeon Monitor training workshop on Saturday\, April 29th\, from 7:00 to 10:00 pm at The Players Theatre\, 115 MacDougal St\, 3rd floor (after the Mindfulness in Rope Intensive with Zamil). \nThis Workshop is FREE to all recent TES DMs and those volunteering to DM at TES Fest 2017. It is open to all others for $5 per person. \nThis workshop is designed as a comprehensive introduction to DMing\, and will cover everything you need to know to get started DMing at TES events and TES Fest. There is a huge difference between a scene\, a demo and a performance. Each of those have different aspects to think about\, a different intensity in preparations and a different skill set that rigger and partner should have to make it a huge success and wonderful experience. Mastering rope performance art means mastering scenes and demos as well. \nNobody likes to see the one trick pony over and over again. If you are or if you want to be on stage and if you want to master scenes and shows as well this class is for you: This class will focus purely on the important aspects of bondage performance art\, how to put a show on stage that rocks the audience and boosting your theatrical and show abilities to a new high. \nPerformances can be looked at from the angles of three main actors: There is the audience you cater for\, there is your partner you need to take care of and there is you. Each one has a different role\, different needs and different goals. Together we will do a guided tour through the main stages of any performance you like to put on stages worldwide. If it doesn’t cause immediate injury\, are we still setting ourselves up for problems down the road? I’m a top\, what could be happening to me? How can our play today impact the long term health of our body? While there isn’t a lot of research available on BDSM Play and long term health concerns\, there is research from other traumatic (yes even if we enjoy it\, our physical being might be experiencing trauma) events on the body. We’ll discuss play\, research and then suggest some ways to assess and modify (if needed) your risk exposure. Unlike most shibari\, Two-Way Tying uses both ends of the rope simultaneously and employs a unique collection of moves to fix and stabilize the wraps. DESCRIPTION:TES Members $5\nStudents & Military with ID $10\nReciprocal Groups $10\nNon-Members $20\nCash Only\nDoors open at 7:00 pm – Meeting begins at 7:30 pm\n\n  \nInterrogation is a form of role-play where the Interrogator has some piece of information that they need to extract from the Interrogatee.  Intimate Interrogation gives a unique opportunity to take on roles that may be on the edge of or just beyond the usual safety net of power exchange. It also allows a mix of various tools and aspects of BDSM into a single scene for a heightened experience.  This is not a class on “military interrogations” as much as a guide on how to engage in this type of play from a lifestyle perspective considering risks and within negotiated limits. \nBIO:\nMr. Taqtiks is a military veteran and certified hypnotist.  He is currently one of the leaders of the Black Rose Hypnosis Special Interest Group (Wash DC) and is on the organizational team for the Charmed Erotic Hypnosis Conference (Baltimore).  He has presented intimate interrogation for a number of other organizations including BlackBEAT (Baltimore)\, Cloak (NC) and Tawse Manor (New Zealand) and notes that this approach is specific to the BDSM lifestyle and not an instruction on military interrogation.
