SUMMARY:ONLINE - Indigenizing BDSM  with SirMrWombat
DESCRIPTION:Exploring BDSM through a lens of indigenous ideologies can be difficult. Learning to reindigenize and reclaim culture\, spirituality\, and fetishes is an art and skill. This class is an informal approach that will explore how to galvanize two seemingly polarized identities into one. This class is intended to engage\, inform\, and bring about discussion in hopes of broadening our understanding of kink. \nSir Wombat\, aka Erik James Escareño\, DSW (he\,she\,they) is a two-spirited indigenous (Yavapai Apache and Chiricahua Apache) Los Angelino who is fueled by social justice and perpetuating meaningful change. Sir Wombat identifies as a Specialized Mental Health Clinical Social Worker\, Interpreter\, Sir\, Handler/Trainer\, Sadist\, and Leather Daddy. As a clinician social worker\, they provide mental health services to Deaf folx within Los Angeles County. As a Sir and Leather Daddy\, they are the head of a leather family and are adept at a multitude of kinks and BDSM disciplines which they continue to hone and pass down to their boys. \nHolding a Doctorate of Social Work\, Sir Wombat focuses on creating systemic change in accessibility to mental health services for Deaf folx. Their fervent hope is to create accessible mental health services for all. Having an intimate connection to\, and understanding of\, the Deaf community they provide ASL interpretation in many QIPOC and Kink spaces; striving to ensure the message of positive queerness and sex is not compromised. Have you been watching your shoe collection gather dust during the pandemic and wondering how to get used to wearing them again? \nThis class will cover how to find a good pair of heels or ballet boots and how to make the shoes you already have more comfortable. I will demonstrate a variety strategies for walking in heels and standing in ballet boots. We will also cover simple exercises you can do to prevent injuries and feel more confident in heels\, as well as risk mitigation when combining heels with various kinks.
