• Dominating a submissive in style with Margaret Davis

The Alchemical, Studio A 104 W 14th St, 3rd floor, New York, NY, United States

Ms. Margaret of the Spanking Club of New York will explain how to approach a submissive so you have their attention and keep it throughout the scene. Using the right tone, facial expression and words matter when having a scene with a willing submissive. Margaret Davis runs the Spanking Club of New York (SCONY). Consenting bottoms are held to a code we call “OPTILAP”, which is an acronym meaning: Old-fashioned, Platonic, Traditional, Institutional, Loving And Parental discipline. She also hosts Weekend in the Mountains, (Oct. 11-13) where old-fashioned spankers from all over the country meet for a full three or four days of a different kind of spanking party. You can read more on this on her web site www.scony.com. __________________________ Doors open at 7, class begins at 7:30. If you will require the elevator, please call ahead: (212) 675-1390. • How to Say No

Have you said yes to something that you wanted to say no to but felt stuck in the moment? Struggled with not taking on this extra task because saying no to your friend seemed rude, or you just weren't prepared and agreed without really wanting to? WELL, this is your chance to practice saying NO to any number of different requests, whether that's a hug you don't want or a "volunteer" job organizing a canned food drive you wanted to support but don't want to be in charge of. This is an interactive practice with some discussion around why a no is easy or hard in the moment. Like lots of things in life, saying no DOES get easier with practice, and that's the point of this! Ginger is a white cis woman who left monogamy behind as a personal choice over a decade ago and never looked back. She's not an expert and won't tell you what to do, but will happily help you practice saying "No" in eighteen different ways to her so they next time your crappy roommate asks you if they can eat your special donuts your "nope, sorry, those are just for me!" pops out without thought.

  • DM/sw: Accountability Standards in the Scene Panel Discussion, moderated by Jinx

Safety and consent are considered of utmost importance in the BDSM scene, however public discourse shows that people do not always agree on the specifics, and context can vary. The same goes for accountability, responsibility, and skill, though they are are not as talked about--but how can you have safety or consent without them? There is no shortage of classes, or expectations, directed towards D-types. The level of education, expectation, and accountability directed towards s-types, on the other hand, seems disproportionate. There also seems to be inconsistencies in the kinky community's rhetoric and standards directed at those who identify as Dominant Men versus submissive women (and everything in between). Join a group of DM and sw panelists to discuss their experiences and thoughts around this kink, social, and gender-related topic. Doors open at 7, class begins at 7:30. • Past is Prologue: Leather Histories For Modern Kink Communities with Jewelweed

We all came from somewhere, or even a collection of somewheres. But while the roots of our communities shaped our present and our future, they don’t have to dictate them. Come learn about leather histories, oral traditions, practices, and stories that have brought us to where we are today—then practice taking what speaks to you and leaving the rest. We might stand on the shoulders of giants, but it’s now up to us to shape the worlds we want to see tomorrow. Jewel (she & they pronouns) is a switchy bisexual polya genderqueer Jersey femme Daddy. She is Mid-Atlantic Leather Woman 2019. You can find them most frequently in the dungeon: co-producing NJ’s largest pansexual/queer BDSM party for the past five years with Conduit Enterprises; serving as a dungeon monitor at conventions; having tough conversations & writing policy behind the scenes; and educating on kink skills around the country! As both a sadistic Sir and a filthy boy who adores boots, singletails, rough body play, caning, roleplay, history, ethics & aesthetics; Jewel is proud to represent The Next Generation of the BDSM & leather communities: First as a TNG chapter founder & leader from 2013-15, now on-staff as International Ms Leather & Ms Bootblack’s Under-35 Liaison (since 2015).
