January 18, 2017 @ 7:30 PM - 10:00 PM Restorative & Transformative Justice Roundtable, with ChrisMarks of CRF TRS, Inc. 40 Exchange Place, 3rd Floor, New York, NY, United States TES Members $5 Students & Military with ID $10 Reciprocal Groups $10 Non-Members $20 Cash Only Doors open at 7:00 pm - Meeting begins at 7:30 pm The BDSM community continues to struggle with consent-related issues, and tried various methods to reduce consent-related conflicts. These methods include banning, outing (abuse, behavior, persona, etc.), flaming on social media, and various functional equivalents. None of these are ultimately satisfactory for everyone or every case. So what could work, might work? How do we try to understand and communicate our social contract within the kinky community? Possible options are Restorative Justice and Transformative Justice models. This meeting will be a Roundtable to explore the issues, questions, and ideas for developing such models, led by ChrisMarks, founder of the Conflict Resolution Facilitator (CRF) process and a leader of Incident Response Teams (IRT) at national events. After a short introduction to the concepts and defining some terms, it will be your contributions as attendees that focus the discussion and move it forward. Come, share, and explore with us options for Restorative and Transformative Justice in Kink!
