  • In-Person: Beyond “No Means No”: Consent Negotiation & Safer Play

LGBT Community Center 208 W 13th St, New York, NY, United States

Think you know consent? Let’s level it up. This class goes way beyond “no means no” and gets into the real art of negotiation, communication, and connection in BDSM and intimate play. Learn how to actually say what you want (and what you don’t), set clear boundaries without killing the vibe, and use safewords and check-ins like a pro. We’ll explore tools like the Wheel of Consent to untangle giving vs. receiving (because yes, there’s a difference), plus practice real-life negotiation and in-the-moment communication skills you can take straight into your scenes. Expect interactive exercises, honest conversations, and a supportive space to build confidence, clarity, and better play—for you and your partners. • IN-PERSON: Tarot for Tops

LGBT Community Center 208 W 13th St, New York, NY, United States

Discover how tarot’s symbolism, storytelling, intuition, and imagination can enrich power exchange, inspire creative scenes, and foster deeper communication and connection. In this discussion-based class, you’ll explore the foundations of tarot with a traditional Rider-Waite deck and learn practical ways to use the cards in your kink practice. Together, you’ll consider how tarot can support intentional scene planning, negotiation, reflection, and aftercare—while keeping ethics, agency, and communication at the center. You’ll be invited to engage your Clair-abilities, mind’s eye, and imagination to develop scenes that connect mind, body, and spirit. Through examples and group discussion, you’ll leave with fresh ideas and usable tools for bringing tarot into your relationships and play. This class is open to Tops, bottoms, switches, and anyone curious about the intersection of tarot and BDSM. All experience levels are welcome, whether you are opening a tarot deck for the first time or have been reading for years. No prior tarot experience is needed. Please bring a tarot deck if you have one; extra Rider-Waite decks will be available so everyone can participate with cards in hand.
