  • Improving Your Rope Technique, with Andra Poloutropon

The Players Theater, Studio 2D 115 Macdougal Street, New York, NY, United States

This class will be taught using the “masterclass” format, but is open to students of all levels. For those unfamiliar with the format, a single student will get up and demonstrate something. The teacher provides feedback and ideas for improvement that not only that student, but the entire class can benefit from. This continues with successive students until the class ends. I emphasize that the class is for all levels since beginners can often learn a great deal from challenges that more advanced students grapple with and advanced students may be surprised by how much they can learn from watching those less experienced. The subject matter of the class will be “technique.” This is a broad subject that will include style, tension, and numerous other technical aspects, but will not include “patterns.” Accordingly, critique will not be given on whether a pattern was tied “correctly,” but advice will be given based on the other technical elements of the tie and the method of applying the rope, while taking into account the student’s intent. Please bring rope & a partner. Please join us for Andra Poloutropon's last time scheduled for TES by Gigi as Chair of Programming and Education! Note: this room requires removal of shoes to protect the floor. TES Members $5 Students & Military with ID $10 Reciprocal Groups $10 Non-Members $20 Cash Only

  • Novice and Newcomers Group: Sensual Domination, with Spike and mj

The Players Theater, Studio 3B 115 Macdougal Street, New York, NY, United States

The definition of “sensual” is 1. affecting any of the senses; and 2. relating to gratification of the physical and especially the sexual appetites. Sensual domination encompasses both aspects of the definition, controlling sensations in a sexually charged way. Melding elements of hypnosis, bondage, mind-fuck, touch, sensation play, knife play, percussive play and the sense to tune in to what works for the submissive, Spike creates erotic and fulfilling scenes for himself and his partner. This class geared for the beginner to intermediate BDSM practitioner but everyone could find something of use here. This class is taught in conjunction with Spike's partner MJ. Short description: Melding elements of hypnosis, bondage, mind-fuck, touch, sensation play, knife play, percussive play and the sense to tune in to what works for the submissive, Spike creates erotic and fulfilling scenes for himself and his partner. Bio: Spike, aka Richard, is a sensual sadistic Dom who likes to play with rope, canes and knives, but basically, anything that falls into his hands is potentially pervertable. He is a reaction junkie and enjoys administering pain as part of his sensation play. Richard is an emeritus board member of Long Island Leather ‘n Roses (LILNR), a facilitator of Long Island Rope Revival (LIRR) and a volunteer for The Eulenspiegel Society (TES). He has previously presented on various aspects of sensation play, rope bondage, impact play and sensual spanking to TES, Dom Sub Friends (DSF), Long Island Leather ‘n Roses (LILNR), Long Island Rope Revival (LIRR), Masque, Bound in Boston 2017 and 2018 and at TES Fest 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018. • Shenanigans and Fuckery – Escape from This One! with Jakal

The Players Theater, Studio 3B 115 Macdougal Street, New York, NY, United States

Welcome everyone! Jakal here, with a class that will teach you the basics for creating inescapable ties. Have you ever tried to tie up your friend, partner, cousin, stuffie, kitchen chair, etc just to see if they can get out of it? If you like rope, I bet you have tried this once or twice. I bet you were frustrated if that person was able to escape as well... HAVE NO FEAR! I am here to teach you how to create ties that will have the escape artist in your life cussing up a storm. Hope to see you there! ( This class is intended for partners, but we may have one for you. People should bring 3 - 30 foot hanks of rope or what ever size you like to tie with, we will have some for you if you don't have any, and a good imagination. Presenter Bio: Greetings! Jakal here! I love to teach and extend my knowledge onto others as well as learn new things myself. I pride myself on being approachable almost all of the time so please feel free to come chat. I mainly teach about fire & wax, rope, and rough body play, but have started creating fun games for the kink community as well! As an instructor, I have been teaching kink related materials for about 4 years, and I have just started outwardly seeking more events to teach at. However, I have been teaching people the knowledge in my head for about 15 years. I love to teach people new concepts and ideas regardless of the platform. As a player, I have been doing rope for about 10 years, fire for about 8 years, and rough body play for about 8 years. I also have a bit of marital arts experience as well. I took Taekwondo for about 6 years and I am trained in Army combatives level 1 and 2. I teach completely unconventionally most of the time. I am not the person that enjoys step one, step two, step three, etc. I love to think outside the box on new ways things can be done, especially if it doesn't require as much safety as suspension ties and intricate fire play do. I do like to do an extensive amount of research on things that I like to do though, and if I don't have an answer for students in the class I generally have a good idea of where to find it. Of course rough body play, fire play, and rope can be dangerous, much like anything else that we all love to do, so I go over safety precautions for everything that we will be doing.
