October 18, 2017 @ 7:30 PM - 10:00 PM Rope Group: Sadistic Rope for Novices, with Sasori_D Alchemical Theatre Laboratory 104 West 14th Street, New York, United States Sadistic rope is one of the most intense types of scenes that two people can engage in, bringing both the top and bottom to their limits, and often blurring the lines between pain and pleasure. In this hands-on class, we will cover a glimpse into Sasori_D's approach to sadistic rope scenes at a conceptual and practical level, with an intent to provide tops with an insightful look into the mechanics of sadistic rope, common trip ups and things to keep in mind before putting rope to skin. This class will be broken down into several sections, which will be covered depending on pace set by the class. 1. Sadistic Bondage Components 2. Sadistic Leg Ties 3. Predicament Floor Positions. This class is targeted at a beginner to intermediate level of rope and will cover leg and chest ties. Please bring 5-6 hanks for rope and a rope cutting tool. About the Instructor Sasori_D is an Australian sadomasochistic rope switch who has found himself wrapped in the New York city kink scene and neck deep in rope. Best described as a “reaction fetishist”, he has spent his kink journey exploring the various means upon which he can elicit yelps, moans and screams from his play partners. Formally educated under Bluerisk and informally under a gamut of others, Sasori brings to bear a style that emphasizes connection, calculated risk and jovial sadism. October 24, 2017 @ 7:30 PM - 10:00 PM Shenanigans and Fuckery- Escape From This One!, with Dr. Blackwell Alchemical Theatre Laboratory 104 West 14th Street, New York, United States Welcome everyone! Dr. Blackwell here, with a class that will teach you the basics for creating inescapable ties. Have you ever tried to tie up your friend, partner, cousin, stuffie, kitchen chair, etc just to see if they can get out of it? If you like rope, I bet you have tried this once or twice. I bet you were frustrated if that person was able to escape as well... HAVE NO FEAR! I am here to teach you how to create ties that will have the escape artist in your life cussing up a storm. Hope to see you there! (This class is intended for partners, but we may have one for you. People should bring 3 - 30 foot hanks of rope or what ever size you like to tie with, we will have some for you if you don't have any, and a good imagination. ) Presenter Bio Greetings! Dr Blackwell here! I love to teach and extend my knowledge onto others as well as learn new things myself. I pride myself on being approachable almost all of the time so please feel free to come chat. I mainly teach about fire, wax, and rope, but have started creating fun games for the kink community as well! As an instructor, I have been teaching kink related materials for about 4 years, and I have just started outwardly seeking more events to teach at. However, I have been teaching people the knowledge in my head for about 15 years. I love to teach people new concepts and ideas regardless of the platform. As a player, I have been doing rope for about 10 years, fire for about 8 years, and rough body play for about 8 years. I also have a bit of marital arts experience as well. I took Taekwondo for about 6 years and I am trained in Army combatives level 1 and 2. I teach completely unconventionally most of the time. I am not the person that enjoys step one, step two, step three, etc. I love to think outside the box on new ways things can be done, especially if it doesn't require as much safety as suspension ties and intricate fire play do. I do like to do an extensive amount of research on things that I like to do thought, and if I don't have an answer for students in the class I generally have a good idea of where to find it. Of course rough body play, fire play, and rope can be dangerous, much like anything else that we all love to do, so I go over safety precautions for everything that we will be doing.
