IN-PERSON – DM Training for TES Fest 2026 June 11 @ 7:30 PM - 10:00 PM LGBT Community Center 208 W 13th St, New York Youngscientist and Werin, our TESfest 2025 Chairs of Safety, will be training all volunteers who signed up to be Dungeon Monitors for TES Fest 2026. If you’re interested in learning for future TES events but didn’t sign up, please register anyway—education is knowledge capital for our community. As a Dungeon Monitor, you’ll learn how to: Develop skills to facilitate a safe dungeon environment Work effectively with a team Communicate respectfully and clearly Identify possible safety risks Understand the dos and don’ts of the role Devise solutions and alternative approaches To review best practices on skill-based play, and boundaries of consent in a dungeon environment Bios: Youngscientist has been active in many facets of the scene for over 15 years. He’s volunteered and worked on staff for at least a dozen organizations throughout that time, including being one of the few Pro-DM’s in the NYC area. Knowledge has been one of his main driving forces, which led him to start teaching early on. He’s probably most well known for teaching Wrestling/Grappling classes and hosting Jello and Lube Wrestling events. Werin is a longtime member of the NYC/NJ kink community with over 15 years in the scene and as a TES member. She has volunteered across TES and TES Fest in multiple roles, including serving as DM Captain at TES Fest 2025, and regularly DMs at TES events and queer-centered parties like The Rabbit Hole and Transgression. As Vice Chair of Safety for TES Fest 2026, Werin brings a warm, attentive, and quietly watchful presence. She is committed to creating spaces where people feel safe, seen, and genuinely cared for while exploring. A submissive-leaning switch, she values trust, connection, and the emotional depth of power exchange. She is the partner of Lady Dee and a longtime friend within the community. Werin is also a transgender woman, nearly four years into her transition and on HRT for over two years. She serves as a trans mentor and is deeply committed to supporting and uplifting trans youths, especially those who may be questioning their place or struggling to feel seen in today’s world. If you see her around, don’t be shy. She’s approachable, a little playful, and always happy to help. And if she’s off duty and taking a break, she might be open to some soft, cuddly connection… just say hi first. She tends to notice the quiet things others miss, and she cares more than she lets on.
